Frequently Asked
Questions - Class Specific
There is no fixed duration for our classes at Jhoola. Emotional skills and the need to stay gadget-free are emphasized in each session, and these essential life skills take time to cultivate. We believe that reinforcement and consistency are key to making a lasting impact on your child’s development.
Seeing tangible results from our classes takes time, and this is because we focus on developing deep-rooted emotional skills and healthy habits that are built gradually. Just as with any meaningful growth, the changes we aim to nurture in your child are subtle and happen over time. It’s important to understand that the benefits of emotional regulation, social skills, and a gadget-free lifestyle aren’t always immediately visible.
While the results may not be immediate, you can look for signs that your child is gradually applying the skills they learn in class. This might show up as improved emotional regulation, better social interactions, or a growing interest in creative, screen-free activities. We also encourage regular communication with parents, where we share observations and progress, helping you understand how your child is benefiting.
The progress may be gradual, but it will be long-lasting, creating a strong foundation that will support your child in various aspects of life.
Our 2-hour classes are thoughtfully structured to include several key components:
Reading: We emphasize the importance of reading as a foundational skill.
Structured Activity: Each class includes a themed activity designed to engage and develop specific emotional and social skills.
Unstructured Play Time: Children have the opportunity for free play, where they naturally pick up social skills and learn to interact with others in a meaningful way.
At Jhoola, we believe in positive reinforcement and gentle but firm guidance. Our facilitators are skilled at redirecting behavior and encouraging cooperation through empathy and understanding. We strive to create an environment where every child feels respected and valued, which naturally minimizes behavior issues.
Safety is our top priority. We ensure that all our activities are conducted in a safe, supervised environment. We have 3 facilitators during all classes and we maintain a clean and secure space. Your child is always in safe hands.
Success at Jhoola is measured not just by outcomes, but by the process of growth and learning. We observe how children engage, express themselves, and develop new skills over time. Feedback from parents and the children themselves is also invaluable in helping us assess and refine our programs.
If your child misses a class, don’t worry. We will cover that activity in the next session, ensuring that your child doesn’t miss out on any learning or experience. Our approach is flexible, allowing each child to stay on track with their progress.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, but unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for missed classes. The fees you pay are an investment in the carefully curated activities and resources we provide at Jhoola. Each session is designed to offer value and enrichment to your child’s growth, and we remain committed to delivering that.
In the rare event that we need to cancel a class, we will adjust the fees accordingly. Your investment in Jhoola is important to us, and we ensure that you receive the full value of our offerings.
We wouldn’t recommend taking a break during exams. In fact, emotional skills are even more crucial during exam times, helping children manage stress and anxiety. A weekly investment of just 2 hours can make a significant difference in your child’s emotional well-being, supporting them through challenging periods like exams.
Jhoola is designed to be an inclusive and supportive environment where every child feels safe to express themselves. Our small class sizes and empathetic facilitators ensure that even the shyest children are encouraged to participate and build friendships at their own pace. The unstructured playtime and group activities are specifically designed to help children develop social skills naturally and comfortably.
After each class, your child will bring home the activities they’ve worked on, giving you a glimpse into what they’ve learned and experienced. Spend some time to talk about the activity after each class. Additionally, we share notes and insights in our dedicated WhatsApp group, highlighting key themes and suggestions that you can try at home to reinforce what your child is learning. This approach ensures that you stay connected with your child’s development and can actively support their growth outside of class.
